Opened in September 1987 as fifteenth golf course in Austria the nine-hole course is laid out in wonderful parkland-like nature. Over an area of approx. 30 hectares/74 acres the demanding but generously designed golf course stretches over hilly terrain planted with old trees. The starting hole, a long par 5, partly sloping, requires not only a long and precise first shot but also well-thought and tactical play. This first hole is followed by a great par 3, with an elevated green, which needs a shot across a biotope. The most demanding holes of the course are the 5th and the 6th which both need highest precision and concentration. When you have reached the green placed on a peninsula you also can watch wild ducks, fish and bisams and - floating golf balls. From the clubhouse you will enjoy a unique view over the spa of Bad Gleichenberg and the southeast Styrian hills as far as to the mountain ranges of Slovenia and South-Carinthia. During the season, starting mid March through mid November, two professionals are engaged to give any support to the players.
