The Venice Golf Club at the Alberoni is situated at the very south of the Venice Lido Island. The first tee is above an old Venetian fort. The course opens up on to wonderful countryside with splendid maritime pines and other age-old vegetation. The course was built on sand dunes and is one of the very few links in the country: there are water hazards and very many trees. The course was built considering all very modern criteria, and has wide fairways with interesting slopes and undulations. The natural sand of the bunkers makes the game rather difficult. The sand-based rough forces the players to make recovery strokes which is often difficult. From the technical point of view, this course is one of the most important in Italy. Players and guests find modern comfort at Venice Golf Club, an excellent restaurant and a very welcoming bar. Golf packages are available.
