"The White Sand Dune Golf Club", just 10 kilometers from Skagen is situated in one of Denmark's most beautiful landscapes. Major parts of the holes on the course are surrounded by heather, sand dunes, fir trees, juniper bushes and a great variety of hardy trees and other bushes. Most of the holes are typical links holes where the natural sand dunes form the obstacles. Hvide Klit is not a very undulating course. However, because of the often prevailing windy conditions, it can be difficult to play. There is also a nine hole "softball" course with realistic obstacles. It is open for the kids and balls can be hired in the clubhouse. The clubhouse provides a large changing area with showers, a combined cafeteria and restaurant to provide the guest players and club members with a wide choice of reasonably priced snacks and dishes. Groups of 15 or more people are asked to contact the club secretary for reservations and teeing-off-times. It should be observed that in the open season the maximum handicap is 36. It should also be observed that the course may only be open to members at some times on weekends and also mens' and ladies' days.
