The club was already estalished in 1911 and was named "La Galea". Later, in 1961, the famous Spanish architect Javier Arana was entrusted to design this 18-hole course. Today the club is among the oldest in Spain, most exclusive and most elegant. The first nine holes are extremely difficult. The third hole runs along the Gulf of Biscay, where the permanent wind will be the constant opponent. On the second half you should pay special attention to the fearsome thirteenth. Although the terrain is rather flat, tactial skills and flexibility is demanded. The challenges of the course are not always obvious, but with concentration and a good technique it can be mastered.
